George played air instruments his whole life. In the 1930’s he started playing the air trombone, especially while interpreting music by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Later on in his life, he progressed to air conducting the same orchestra, as well as performing a range of airinstruments on music by big bands like The Ramblers, Ted Weems, Jimmy Lunceford, Benny Goodman and many, many others.
